    Palmetto is a 3.5yr old female mountain cur that was rescued from a shelter in 2014. After expanding our family in 2016, it has become apparent that she is not good to be around small children. Palmetto is a fantastic dog that loves to please, play and protect her family. She is a quick learner and will be a great addition to a home without small children present!

    FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Est. DOB: 10/01/15 Weight:about 40 lbs Maggie is a gorgeous hound; possibly Mountain Cur or Coonhound. She is 1 1/2 years old. Maggie is very loving and energetic. She is leash and crate trained and loves to go for walks. She is great with children but we recommend ages 10 and up because she is so energetic. Does fine with most dogs her own size - no small dogs. She loves to cuddle and play with toys...the indestructible kind ! Maggie is spayed; utd on vaccines ; and microchipped. Mountain Curs are protective guardians of their families bred from tough dogs of the pioneer days. Mountain Curs are best suited to life in the country with plenty of space to roam and a job to do. Mountain Curs are smart and trainable, but they do not make good indoor pets.
